Davide Pareyson is a Clinical Neurologist working at the Istituto Neurologico C.Besta of Milan, Italy. and is currently Head of the Functional Department of Neurological Rare Diseases; he is also Chief of the Simple Dept. Unit of Clinic of Central and Peripheral Degenerative Neuropathies. He has been working at the Besta Institute since 1989, after his Residency. Training: 1984, Degree in Medicine cum Laude, Milan University; 1988 Board in Neurology cum Laude, Milan University; 1991 Board in Clinical Neurophysiology, Pavia University. 1986/1989 Post-doc fellowship at the Besta Institute (BI) Research interests: Clinical and laboratory research on hereditary and acquired peripheral neuropathies and motor neuronopathies, inherited neurological disorders, rare diseases. Studies on phenotype-genotype correlation, clinical findings, electrophysiology, neuropathology of hereditary neuropathies; development of outcome measures for hereditary neuropathies; clinical trials in inherited and acquired neuropathies. He has coordinated the Italian-UK trial of ascorbic acid in CMT1A.
